Research and Development

In-house expertise

Innovation and R&D are core functions within Transfer Oil, supporting a business model built on advanced hose technology. Full in-house control of the entire production cycle ensures consistent product development and reliable performance across applications.
This structure is supported by a team of experienced professionals who use advanced engineering systems, software tools, and testing equipment to develop solutions aligned with specific market requirements.

Collaboration drives innovation

The R&D Department works in close coordination with the Commercial Department to translate application needs into effective hose solutions.
This integrated approach combines continuous research with advanced engineering methods to develop products that meet the highest standards of performance and reliability.
The result is a comprehensive product portfolio designed to address the requirements of multiple sectors, including hydraulic and fluid power transmission, water blasting, water jetting, and alternative fuel applications.

Expertise and technology combined

Transfer Oil’s R&D and laboratory activities are supported by state-of-the-art test benches and customized machinery designed to evaluate hoses under a wide range of mechanical and environmental stresses, including pressure, temperature, and dynamic operating conditions.
The laboratory includes dedicated systems for burst testing, impulse testing, volumetric expansion, permeability testing, and abrasion resistance verification, ensuring that every product is validated against demanding application scenarios.

Quality

Quality as a priority

Quality is a fundamental principle at Transfer Oil, guiding every stage of the production process and ensuring that each product consistently meets defined performance and reliability standards.
From incoming raw material inspection to in-process verification and final product approval, each stage is subject to structured controls and testing. More than 70 quality checks – including dimensional analysis of raw materials using laser and infrared technologies, as well as pressure, impulse, and permeability testing on finished products – are carried out to guarantee full compliance with internal standards before product release.

Recognized standards and continuous improvement

Transfer Oil has a long-standing history in quality assurance and was among the first companies in the industry to achieve ISO 9001 certification in 1993. Since then, the company has continuously strengthened its quality systems, integrating advanced digital tools and data-driven control processes alongside modern analytical methods.
In addition to ISO 9001, Transfer Oil holds internationally recognized certifications and product approvals from leading global organizations, including DNV, ABS, MSHA and CSA, confirming compliance with stringent international requirements.
The company has also achieved ISO 14001 certification for environmental management and ISO 45001 certification for occupational health and safety, reflecting a structured and integrated approach to sustainability, workplace safety, and responsible operations, in line with its broader ESG commitments as outlined in its Sustainability Report).

Certificates

UHP Test Certificate

Before proof testing, every hose assembly is inspected by the Quality Department on the dedicated validation test rig.

All HELIX® hose assemblies undergo 100% pressure and sealing verification under controlled conditions. For this purpose, Transfer Oil operates a 6,000 bar (87,000 psi) proof pressure test stand, capable of applying a fully programmable pressure curve to assembled hoses.
Upon successful completion of testing, a Certificate of Conformity is issued by Quality Department and made available online for each individual hose assembly.

Retrieve HELIX® hose assembly certificate

You can download the corresponding EN 10204 – 3.1 certificate by entering the item number and batch number (or serial number) of the hose assembly. All identification data is permanently engraved on the ferrule, ensuring full traceability.
