COLORNO, Italy - December 3, 2008 - We would like to inform about an upgrade concerning our part number 0414 – 3/8 VHP 10000, 1414 – 3/8 VHP 10000 TWIN e 0484 – 3/8 VHP 10000 AGGRESSIVE CHEMICALS.
These products are part of VHP 10000 – VERY HIGH PRESSURE 10.000 psi hose families, designed and manufactured to operate with working pressure up to 10.000 psi or 700 bar, with a safety factor 4:1, therefore with burst pressure up to 40.000 psi or 2.800 bar. These products are used in the following applications:
VHP 10000 / VHP 10000 twin
Rescue and safety equipment – High pressure systems and pumps – Bolt tensioning tools – Jacking and rerailing equipment.
VHP 10000 AGGRESIVE CHEMICALS
Very high pressure aggressive chemicals systems requiring very high mechanical strength of hose and/or electrical conductivity – Applications requiring high chemical resistance to solvents and aggressive fluids such as two parts polyurethane injection foams.

The upgrade concern a change of outside diameter from the present 18,40 mm (0,724 inches) to 18,70 mm (0,736 inches), with an overall variation of 0,30 mm
This modification will not affect the internal diameter, the pressure rating, the ferrule compatibility, while the recommended crimping diameter changes into 22,10 mm (0,87 inches).
We would like to remind that Transfer Oil recommend to 100% check bore collapse when assembling VHP hoses. When assembling the abovementioned hose we recommend a bore collapse of 0,70 mm (0,0276 inches)

As we did in previous circumstances, in order to optimize the tracking, and simplify it, we would like to highlight that it will possible to identify the upgraded productions simply by referring to the batch number printed on the hose. Upgraded products will have a batch number identical o following to S82888. New productions will reach the market presumably before the end of 2008, depending to stock level and market demand.
