Colorno, ITALY 9th April 2019 - Throughout the last months, the R&D department firmly operated in support of the HELIX™ product range. This visible support brought us to upgrade the working pressure of some of our hoses.
To simplify the track of the change of the hose characteristics, we will change and trace the batch code.
The table below is a good example of the change we are about to introduce. The column “LAST BATCH No.” means the batch no. of the last production of the hose on the left with that colour and that working pressure. After that batch no. that same hose picks up the new colour and working pressure on the right.

As you are aware, Transfer Oil adopt the colour coding scheme recommendation issued by the WJTA-IMCA association. The purpose of this recommendation is to help ensure on-the-job safety by making different hoses more easily identifiable on sight.
The upgrade of pressures is going to affect the cover colour of the hose, according to the WJTA-IMCA coding scheme as per below.
----------------------------------------
WJTA-IMCA Color Coding Scheme for Pressure Hoses - Maximum Working Pressure Applicable
YELLOW 10,000 PSI / 690 bar | GREEN 15,000 PSI / 1034 Bar | BLUE 20,000 PSI / 1379 Bar | GREY 30,000 PSI / 2068 Bar | ORANGE 40,000 PSI / 2758 Bar | RED 55,000 PSI / 3792 Bar
----------------------------------------
There are no changes to the compatibility of ferrules, inserts and accessories.
The new products will be ready for delivery starting from the next productions. Of course, the switch from the old version, to the new one, will depend on demand and stock level of each single hose product involved.
The entire Sales Team is at your complete disposal in case you might need any further information.
