COLORNO, Italy - October 27th, 2014 - All the Team at Transfer Oil are proud to announce the prestigious achievement by some of the most representative hose families of our comprehensive range, in gaining approval and certification by the globally recognized MSHA - Mine Safety and Health Administration.

The MSHA specification is particularly renowned within the rubber hose industry, where this approval is widely recognized as a pre-requisite for the majority of mining related applications around the world. It has also become synonymous with high quality as a safety standard, due to the demanding level of flame resistant characteristics required, so much so that it has been taken up as the benchmark for other non-mining related market sectors where quality and safety are paramount.

Until today, the MSHA approval was one of the prerogative of the rubber hose manufacturers as the scope of thermoplastic hoses approved by MSHA was extremely narrow and mostly limited to exotic specialties.

Contrary to this, our ambitious target was to bring the MSHA approval not just on specialties, but also on hoses that are part of our standard offering, this in order to provide all of our present and future distribution partners the opportunity to optimize the range of applications and potential customers available via a more comprehensive range of hose products.

After an important development of the cover formulation and following extensive in house testing, validation samples were duly submitted for the formal approval from the United States Department of Labour agency, specifically the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA).

We are now proud to announce that the following hose families have been approved by MSHA and will all feature a new text legend which will include the MSHA brand, plus the approval number IC-305 assigned to the specific cover formulation that allowed Transfer Oil to obtain this prestigious achievement.

Products with the updated branding are now in production, and depending on stock availability and market demand, deliveries of the MSHA branded hoses will start accordingly.
